Description of Project:

The Forest Service building is the final building on the Colorado State University Foothills Campus' - Natural Resources Research Center (NRRC). The NRRC is a collaborative effort among the GSA, USDA, the City of Fort Collins and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Project/Property Management:

Acquest Property Management manages approximately 325,000 square feet of office/warehouse and research facilities in Fort Collins, CO.  Having local on-site property managers, familiar with the construction and mechanical systems allows for 24/7 response to tenant issues.  Having on-site property managers gives the tenant and U.S. Government a single source person to resolve issues and to over-see and coordinate future building modifications.

Project Results:

Included among the 164 Forest Service personnel that will occupy the facility upon completion are wildlife biologists, fire ecologists, hydrologists and botanists as well as financial analysts, computer specialists, mapping and engineering specialists, recreation planners and landscape architects.

Project Significance:

The Forest Service facility serves as the district headquarters for the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands. The building features a visitor information center, a conference center for public meetings, an exhibit area and an emergency response center for coordinating forest fire operations.
